A few things you might like to know

FAQs

I’ve put together some frequently asked questions that you might want to know, and I’m happy to help any time with any further questions you may have!

01 / What is your approach to photographing my wedding ?

I studied documentary photography and have been working as a photogapher since 1996 after leaving university. I now incorporate this style into my weddings to produce stunning photography of your day. Nothing is staged except for a few family group shots and portraits of the two of you. Documenting your wedding day without any interference on my part results is a much more effective approach at evoking the feelings of the day. A perfect way if you’re a little uncofortable in front of a camera. Just like I am. ?

03 / Do you cover the groom preparations ?

If at all possible, yes. It adds another dimension to the story of your day. Typically, groom preparation lasts around 1 hour prior to me meeting the bride. If you’re both getting ready and at the same venue then its no problem to pop between the two of you. If however the groom is some distance away then a second shooter may be required.

05 / How long before we receive the photographs ?

Normally within 2 weeks if not sooner. It’ll vary slightly in the height of the wedding season. Photographs are usually ready when you return from your honeymoon.

02 / How long do you typically spend at a wedding ?

A typical wedding consists of a full days comprehensive coverage. This includes 2 hours bridal preparation through to your first dance with an 20 minutes to capture your family & friends accomanying you on the dance floor

04 / Do you photograph group portraits ?

Yes I do. However, my style is to document your day as natural as possible as it unfolds. You, your family & friends won’t want to spend endless hours posing for the camera. Therfore, I recommend no more than ten group pictures.

I will always take the bride and groom off for a shoot to produce something lovely and dramitic portraits. You will be amazed how quickly the day goes and i believe its important you spend as much time with your guests.

06 / How do we secure the date ?

A booking fee of £200 is required along with a signed wedding agreement. Get in touch and we can arrange a meeting to discuss all the details of your day. I’ll show further examples of my work and the albums I use along with all the colour combinations that are available.
